“Cheaper Energy Together”

A new community partnership has recently been launched with the aim of helping households to get a better energy deal through the power of acting collectively. By grouping thousands of households together it is possible to negotiate much lower energy deals than if an individual were changing supplier on their own.

Everyone who signs up to the scheme will be offered the deal so that they can see how much they stand to save compared to their existing energy deal. There is no obligation, and absolutely no cost to take part.

The Cheaper Energy Together Community Partnership will be open to all UK households, with mains gas and/or mains electricity, but will have a particular focus on those facing fuel poverty, and those who have not switched before. Residents will be able to sign up online, on the phone, or at a series of local events over the next two months which will be led by experienced local community and voluntary groups and charities.

If you would like to register your interest, or just to find out a bit more about the scheme, you can make a call to 0800 888 6611 completely free, and with no obligation, or check out their website at www.cheaperenergytogether.org to learn more about the partnership.

What is the answer?                       CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOG!

Bag it and burn it or bin it.

In Luston dog fouling of pavements is now becoming an increasing problem; also on our footpath network.

It is unacceptable anywhere near where we walk, or where children may play!

If you own a dog, please help yourself, your neighbours, and community, and particularly our children and grandchildren, by clearing up after it.

Your Parish Council is keen to keep our public areas clean and safe for all of you, and has placed notices reminding everyone of this nuisance. If you see or know of a dog owner who allows this pollution, please let us know.
